Jon M. Maier, M.D.
Dr. Maier is a native of Anderson, Indiana. He obtained his bachelor of arts degree at Indiana University, as well as his medical degree at Indiana University School of Medicine. He did his postgraduate training in internal medicine at New Hanover Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, North Carolina, and at North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. He did his gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, Ohio.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
He returned to Anderson to open his private practice and has been on staff at Community Hospital since then. He also served as chief of the Department of Medicine at Community Hospital in 1989. He has been the medical director of the Community Hospital Endoscopy Center since 2004.
He is married and has four children and two step-children.
Rod A. Nisi, M.D.
Dr. Nisi is a native of London, England, and is a naturalized citizen. He obtained his bachelor of science degree and did pre-med study at Loyola University in Los Angeles, California. He obtained his M.D. at the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine, Cincinnati, Ohio. He also completed his internship in internal medicine at University of Cincinnati Department of Medicine. He completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in gastroenterology (Tier 3: therapeutic biliary endoscopy) at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Nisi was an assistant professor of medicine in the gastroenterology department at Indiana University Medical Center before going to Anderson. He joined the Central Indiana Gastroenterology Group in 1992 and has been on the staff of Community Hospital since he arrived in Anderson.
He is married and has three sons.
Brian W. Sipe, M.D.
Dr. Sipe and his family are long-time residents of Indiana. He obtained his bachelor of arts degree at Kenyon College, and his medical degree at the University Of Chicago Pritzker School Of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Indiana University Medical Center, and he completed his gastroenterology fellowship at Indiana University Medical center. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He has been on staff at Community Hospital Anderson and St. John’s Health System since he arrived in Anderson. He has been with Central Indiana Gastroenterology Group since 2013.
Dr. Sipe has a long history of clinical research. He was awarded by American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy for his groundbreaking research in endoscopic sedation as a fellow. He continued his research into private practice to address the concerns of his patients. In 2012, his research on colonic bowel preparation was recognized in a presidential plenary presentation. He continues to actively participate in research into inflammatory bowel disease, small bowel disease, and anemia.
He is married and has two children.
